Compassion and caring at the Kirk takes place as members of the congregation care for each other whenever needs arise. This response is informal and spontaneous, but we also have groups assigned to the ministry of caring.
- Caregivers respond to needs by providing food to those going through grief, those recuperating from stays in hospitals, new parents, and others when the need is present. Caregivers also send cards to shut-ins and hospitalized members.
- Stephen Ministers provide trained pastoral care to those needing such care.
- Pastoral Staff visits hospitals and nursing homes, the elderly and shut ins. Funerals and grief care are part of staff ministry.
